|Once-rare rosé finally blooms on the prairies
"Gabriel Meffre?s La Chasse is our house rosé. We?ve usually got a couple of bottles in the closet. It isn?t as darkly coloured as the Beaurevoir, but it is dark enough to reassure you as the extraction during maceration.
The bouquet is quite fruity, raspberry again, but there?s some leather and meat aromas underlying it. I suspect the latter are from Cinsault in the cepage. The finish has a hint of mineral in it, so I?d guess there?s some limestone in the soil.
This is a wine for barbecued steelhead if I?ve ever tasted one. There?s enough muscle to hold its own against the stronger fish. The slight smokiness of the wine accompanies the barbecued foods beautifully."

Harvest have now come to an end...
2016 should be a great vintage thanks to the perfect weather conditions until the end of the harvests. The Grenache grapes have particularly benefited from the hot temperatures of this summer. Volumes may be lower than 2015 but quality is present: red wines should be generous with velvety tanins and deep colors; white and rosés wines should be very aromatic, fresh and well-balanced.
This year again, our wines have been awarded in the most recognised UK wine competitions.

For Véronique, our Head Winemaker, the quality of this year's vintage in the Rhône Valley, the Languedoc and in Provence is evident: "It's a vintage that will produce wines of considerable longevity".
The 2015 vintage is already showing huge potential and is sure to be one of the best vintages of the last few years for our winery.
