Rhône rosé is an undiscovered treasure for many wine drinkers. This gorgeous pink wine - a blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Shiraz - is fruity and slightly spicy, perfect for Asian cuisine or a summer barbecue.
The grapes are harvested from selected vineyards throughout the Côtes du Rhône region to the north of Vaucluse and Gard where the vines flourish on clayey and limestone soils. Each variety is vinified separately to develop its unique characteristics after the grapes are destemmed and gently crushed. Fermentation is at cool temperatures in order to preserve freshness and clean aromas.
The wine has a striking, gorgeous pink colour with very light shades of purple. On the nose, the main aromas are floral and fresh red berry fruits. Raspberry flavours come through strongly on the palate and the finish is fruity and slightly spicy. Try it with salads, fish, roasted white meats and it is perfect for a bbq on a warm summer's evening.
